From two business days to one day settlement cycle

As of May 27, 2024, Canadian and U.S. securities will shorten the settlement cycle from the standard two business days after the date of the trade (T+2) to one business day after the date of the trade (T+1).
The shortened settlement cycle will apply to most equities, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), mutual funds, and certain other investment assets. The T+1 settlement cycle will begin on Monday, May 27, 2024, for Canadian financial markets; for U.S markets it will begin on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. |
